90th Birthday & Baby Shower!

Thu, 1 Jul 10

It was an absolute pleasure to do Maries 90th Birthday cake. Her grandaughter rang me to see

if I was available that weekend and of course I said yes. I had done a couple of cakes for Marie in the past and knew that her favourite was my Clemantine which is a boiled orange, lemon and almond cake. It was an afternoon affair with the family. I wanted the flowers to look really soft and pretty, just like a flower garden...with some hints of chocolate in the white chocolate flowers intermingled with the fresh flowers.

The softness of the organza bows looked gorgeous... a beautiful job!

I was then off to deliver a baby shower cake!!  Val rang me from Sydney and organised the whole thing over the phone. Val really wanted to surprise her Daughter & husband with a party to celebrate the coming birth of their first baby.

The baby shower was held at the Jindalee hotel with the colour theme a baby yellow... The bears are really cute and the cake was a huge surprise!  The cake was the centre piece... something for the guests to oooohhh & aaaahhhhhh over!
