floods!

We have just spent all day packing everything in the house and moving everything from the lower level to  upstairs. It is a difficult time with the floods ... I only hope it doesnt flood

upstairs...  My husband is a helicopter pilot for the Queensland govnt and has been working trying to resque people clinging to the tops of their homes on the roof.. He has never seen such devastation and loss of life... it is just heart breaking. At least we have had some warning to pack and move out.. the poor people at Gantham had none.  I was ringing him this morning when the news stuck that we were at risk and he was stuck up there. Fortuneately he was able to be relieved by the next crew and came home to help me shift our valuables up stairs. 

I want to  thank our friend  Derrick Kennedy who is allowing us to stay with him.... people have been so generous and caring. I have had many texts asking  if we are ok.. our boys Lachlan and McKenzie are safe as are we .. I  cannot ask for any more... only the safety of people who are also at risk..  God bless !!!

Our thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family, and all of QLD... My family comes from QLD so its hit hard... Thankfully they are all ok, just cut off in some areas... I was lucky to get home from Central QLD a week and half ago...
