Welcome To My New Site
Thu, 24 Sep 09

Hi guys welcome to my new web site. This has been a long time coming- but finally its here!! Hope you enjoy it.
I have had some very challenging work the last few months which is fabulous. Its great to design and experiment with ideas. One of the cakes I completed recently was this 2 tier chocolate box. The design was all out of chocolate; black chocolate- I had to hand coloured it. The design came from the invitations; they were one of Cara Maries from Invitation Station hard copy invites with a raised velvet look- just stunning.
I had to individually hand pipe every section, then affix it on the chocolate collars very delicately. Faye the bride wanted it to be elegant. The design was an Art Deco design- I love Art Deco, traditionally done in black and silver. The top tier had white chocolate curls and shavings- very clean lines- simple yet very stunning. The wedding was held at Gianni’s in the city- I love Gianni’s!
Other news- I am always asked about doing chocolate classes which (I have done in the past but nothing recently as I have had other projects on the go) I keep putting off- however I may be doing some in 2010- so if you are interested just let me know.
Look forward to your comments on the web site,
Au revoir
Julie

And let's not forget my 40th birthday cake, Jonathan's "surfie" themed 16th birthday cake and Ric's amazing 40th birthday cake.
And then, going back a bit further, how about my 18th birthday cake!! Another chocolate wonder.
Further back in the mists of time, who could forget our daily diet of your famous chocolate cake that we usually devoured in Biology or Maths!
Ever since we were 11, we have been feasting on your chocolate cakes, pavlovas, cheesecakes, slices. Now 42 years later, you've taken cooking to the realms of both art and sculpture.

Love your new web site but photos will still never do justice to the 'wow' factor of your amazing cakes. They have to be seen in real life!! Next time you're in NYC give me a call!

Dear Julie, congratulations on the new website. Lovely to see Georgia's christening cake included yet the photos don’t express the joy and gratitude we felt on seeing the cake for the first time. It was absolutely beautiful....just like our Georgia. It could not have been more perfect. Everyone was in awe (and enjoyed devouring it as well).
Thank you very much and LIVE YOUR DREAM!!! With love Larian & Mathew.
