Refined Elegance at Palazzo Versace
Everything about this wedding was elegant and beautiful.
Kerri-Anne wanted my individual chocolate box design at first, and then at the next meeting saw one of my new mock-ups of a cake l originally made in Melbourne about 20 years ago. She spotted it and fell in love with it instantly saying, 'I have to have it!'.
It is one of my signature heart designs and it is one of my favourites with 100's of white chocolate hearts individually hand-piped and inter-meshed around the cake.
It oozes romance with the hearts and has a gorgeous lace-like effect. Very much like the vintage Capura lace.
Edible gold pearls were placed through the hearts to add detailing to reflect Kerri-Anne's dress (A gorgeous Paul Hunt Design) with pearled beading on the bodice and the matching bag. The gold bows tied in with the whole opulent feel of Palazzo Versace.
The size of the cake did not reflect the number of guests as there were only 60, however Kerri-Anne & Simon wanted something large and majestic. A beautiful centre piece for all to enjoy! I love the photo of Kerry-Anne when she first sees the cake...Priceless!
The Vanitas Restaurant looked amazing; pure elegance. All the colours were creams with hints of caramel from the table menus through to the bonbonniere, designed by Cara Marie of Invitation Station.
Kerri-Anne & Simon decided to stay on at Palazzo Versace for their honeymoon, a week of absolute indulgence.
